Are you passionate about generating T cell products for clinical application? Do you have a strong background in immunology, cell biology, or biotechnology? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biotherapeutics Unit Technician to join our team at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to contribute to our growing T cell program within the context of the NKI/AVL Center for Cellular Therapies. As a Biotherapeutics Unit Technician, you will be responsible for the generation of T cell products under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions in one of the cleanrooms of the BioTherapeutics Unit of the NKI/AVL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate T cell products for clinical application under GMP conditions
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team of analysts, pharmacists, doctors, researchers, and quality officers
  • Contribute to the development of new possibilities of cellular immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with cancer
  • Collaborate with other colleagues in the context of GMP quality assurance
Requirements
  • Basic education at HLO level (e.g., in immunology, cell biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a similar field)
  • Interest in generating T cell products for clinical application under GMP conditions
  • Relevant experience with, for example, cell culture and various relevant analysis methods (e.g., flow cytometry)
  • Good communication skills, an eye for detail, quality-oriented, and a flexible and proactive attitude
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, a dynamic and supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development. Depending on experience, your salary will be between € 2.554,- and € 3.468,- gross per month, based on a 36-hour working week. This is in accordance with the FWG 45 job scale. The basis for your employment conditions is in accordance with the collective labor agreement for hospitals.

In addition, 8.33% holiday pay and a fixed year-end bonus of 8.33% are part of your secondary conditions. You will receive a travel allowance of € 0.19 per km. As an employee of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, you can park for free. Of course, we encourage our employees to leave the car at home, which is why we offer an interesting bicycle arrangement and/or discount on an NS business card. As an employer, we contribute 50% to your pension with Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn and we offer a group discount for the health insurers IZZ and Zilveren Kruis and disability insurance.
