We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Central Fleet Support Department at Boskalis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze hydraulic problem definitions and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective solutions.
- Develop technical concept designs and write functional specifications to meet project requirements.
- Supervise basic and detailed engineering to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct budget calculations and monitor progress during engineering and work in progress.
- Perform technical inspections of designs, documents, and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Organize and lead executive activities at various locations, including foreign sites.
- Manage and integrate hydraulics-related activities during project commissioning.
- Share responsibility for official acceptances, sea trials, and final delivery of assigned disciplines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Maritime Technology.
- At least 5 years of experience in the maritime and/or dredging sector, with a focus on hydraulic installations.
- Proven experience in independently designing installations and troubleshooting on board.
- Experience with complex specifications, budgets, and tender processes at shipyards, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to manage internal and external parties to ensure project realization, commissioning, and aftercare within specified timelines, quality, and budget.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel globally on a flexible rotational basis.
