Lead OutSystems Software Engineer

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior OutSystems Developer to spearhead the design and implementation of sophisticated solutions on the OutSystems platform. This role encompasses advanced development tasks, mentoring of junior developers, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-caliber applications that align with our clients' objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development and Design: Architect, develop, and deploy high-quality applications utilizing the OutSystems platform. Ensure that applications are scalable, maintainable, and fulfill business requirements.
Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of developers. Offer support and direction in best practices, conduct code reviews, and tackle complex problem-solving challenges.
Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects from inception to completion. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Performance Enhancement: Enhance application performance through effective database schema design and optimized coding practices. Ensure applications perform optimally under varying load conditions.
System Integration: Create APIs and integrate with external systems and databases, ensuring seamless and secure data flow between applications and services.
Quality Assurance Collaboration: Work alongside the QA team to define testing methodologies. Ensure that all development tasks meet quality standards through comprehensive testing, including functional, performance, and security assessments.
Continuous Improvement and Research: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in OutSystems and related technologies. Assess new tools and technologies to improve the development process and enhance end products.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in OutSystems development, with substantial experience in leading development initiatives.
Technical Proficiencies:
In-depth knowledge of the OutSystems platform.
Strong expertise in web and mobile application development.
Proficient in SQL and database architecture.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder relationships and mentoring team members.
Self-driven, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Language Proficiency
Fluent in English; proficiency in any other European language (such as Dutch or French) is a plus.
