Role Overview
The primary function of the Global Supply Chain Planner is to ensure that our products are available to meet market demand while achieving our operational and business objectives. This includes delivering products punctually, minimizing manufacturing expenses, and meeting revenue targets. The supply planning team is responsible for crafting and implementing a supply strategy that optimizes inventory levels, production timelines, and supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Oversight: Manage optimal inventory levels to balance carrying costs with service level expectations.
- Supply Strategy Development: Formulate and execute supply plans that guarantee product availability across the global network, focusing on cost optimization and maximizing production output.
- Supplier Engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with external manufacturers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable supply.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with local supply chain teams, finance, and product managers to align supply chain strategies with overarching business goals.
- Process Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks to the supply chain and lead stakeholders through any disruptions.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize supply chain data to create reports and analytics that inform decision-making and track performance against KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management, preferably within multinational corporations.
- Proficiency in advanced supply chain planning software.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data and inform decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across various organizational levels.
- Financial insight to optimize costs and enhance profitability.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a keen attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is required.
