Job Description

In this key position, you will work closely with the Lead Centre of Regulatory Expertise to ensure alignment with the bank's aspirations, strategy, and risk appetite. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of long-term pending and upcoming regulations to identify potential impact on the credit products and develop strategies for implementation.
  • Analysis of business impact following upcoming regulations, including impact on strategy, risk appetite, RWA, requirements setting, and products.
  • Providing expert advice on regulatory interpretation from an implementation perspective and supporting regulatory programs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring existing implemented regulation in the context of latest interpretation and supervisory expectations, informing MT FS and other stakeholders on upcoming regulatory impact, and preparing the Head FS for regulatory committee meetings.

You will have regular interaction with external parties to stay informed on regulatory developments and their impact, as well as benchmarking implementation practice with outside-in views.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong execution capability, the ability to initiate cross-departmental collaboration, create strategic alliances, and deliver high-quality results. You should also be able to connect and explain strategy and execution, theory, and practice, determine the relevance of internal and external regulatory developments to business lines, and initiate and implement necessary adjustments in your area of responsibility.

With a minimum of 5 years of working experience within Credit/Lending/Risk and Prudential Regulation (CRR & CRD, RTS, ITS, EBA Guidelines etc.), you should have in-depth knowledge of Prudential Regulation, legislative procedures, regulatory affairs, and policies. Additionally, you should have knowledge of a broad range of lending and lending products as well as other products and services, macro-economic and external market developments, and their impact on credit risk managed within the department.

You will need strong communication and stakeholder skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to identify key linkages and overlaps between topics and ensure alignment amongst them. Dealing with ambiguity effectively by setting priorities, balancing short and long-term goals is also essential.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including a gross monthly salary of €6,500, based on a 36-hour workweek, including vacation pay and benefit budget. The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary, which can be used to acquire additional employment benefits.

You will also receive five weeks of vacation per year, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks, a personal development budget of €1,000 per year, and the possibility to work from home in consultation with your team and depending on your position.

An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands and an excellent pension scheme are also included in our benefits package.
