About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Field Engineer to join our team at Expleo. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring peak system performance and reliability for our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot products at customer sites to ensure maximum availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, warranty support team, project team members, and less experienced personnel.
  • Carry out troubleshooting during the product introduction period, as well as pre-warranty and commissioning activities, including investigation and repair.
  • Perform fleet check activities and report any deviations or failures in the Failure Management database.
  • Support the operation helpdesk and apply and enforce EHS and security rules and relevant processes on customer sites.
  • Execute test and troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and perform failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair.
  • Support implementation of field modifications and provide technical leadership as needed.
  • Recommend preventative and corrective actions and instruct operators in field modifications and repairs.
  • Advise PI management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements.
  • Ensure good information flow about interventions and operations within troubleshooting to support shift transition.
  • Conduct peer reviews of PI activities and provide technical leadership as requested.

Requirements

  • Certified technician or undergraduate in a technical field (mechanical or electrical/electronics).
  • 5 years of technical troubleshooting/investigation experience (mechanical or electrical/electronics).
  • Strong PC knowledge and ability to perform software updates on vehicles.
  • Minimum IT knowledge, with knowledge of Maximo being a benefit.
  • EHS knowledge and exposure, with internal EHS training.
  • Strong product knowledge.
  • Railway safety/product liability.
  • Engineering knowledge.
  • Able to work in shifts (day/night) and weekends.
  • Fluent Dutch and knowledge of English.
