Operations Team Leader

A Day in the Life:

In this position, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities and tasks, including:

  • Coordinating personnel and resource management to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitoring daily team performance and providing coaching and support as necessary
  • Troubleshooting challenges using lean methodologies and delivering clear and concise feedback
  • Acting as a deputy for Operations Management when required and serving as the primary contact for the operations team
  • Working a rotating 7-day shift pattern to lead a team responsible for receiving, packaging, and shipping critical products
  • Collaborating with Client Services and Quality teams to deliver a gold standard service for our clients
  • Ensuring an exceptional experience for both your team and our customers

Keys to Success:

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Education:

  • Ideally educated to a degree level in a scientific or engineering discipline, though relevant operational experience will also be taken into account
  • Proficiency in the complete Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong background in continuous improvement with a solid understanding of Lean methodologies

Experience:

  • Proven ability to build and lead teams that consistently achieve outstanding results
  • A passion for personal and team development
  • Experience in batch manufacturing and/or packaging within a technical or scientific environment preferred
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Capability to stand and move around the warehouse for extended periods
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a naturally proactive approach
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 20Kgs frequently and 30Kgs occasionally
