TenneT is a leading company in the energy transition, playing a key role in driving this transition forward. We are looking for a highly skilled Support Functions Architect to join our team in Arnhem.

Your Role

As a Support Functions Architect, you will contribute to the development of our support functions architecture, ensuring that it is aligned with our strategic ambitions. You will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, IT architects, and domain heads to evolve and continuously improve our architecture standards and landscape.

Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing principles, governance, and guidance for maturing our support functions capability, focusing on standardization and modularization;
  • Leading the support functions architecture board and supporting the architecture guild to develop architecture products;
  • Monitoring the implementation of key support functions-related projects, ensuring proper escalation and reporting to senior management stakeholders;
  • Developing the target architecture and roadmap with the business, outlining how these goals are realized;
  • Setting expectations for quality, consistency, and delivery, ensuring that those standards are met and improved over time;
  • Proactively identifying, analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating ideas, projects, and opportunities on support functions topics.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar function, preferably with business understanding of the TSO/Utilities/Infra asset sector;
  • Strong experience in leadership roles, focusing on architectural solutions for strategic importance;
  • Ability to negotiate support for difficult decisions, anticipate problems, and maintain credibility and trust;
  • Experience with (implementation of) large software suites in support systems, such as Finance (SAP4HANA), HR (Success Factors), and ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow);
  • Ability to guide IT Architects in the support functions domain;
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF and ArchiMate are preferred;
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English, with fluency in German and/or Dutch being an advantage.
