About the Role

TenneT is a leading player in the energy transition, and we're looking for a seasoned Support Functions Architect to join our team in Arnhem. As a key member of our Business Technology Organization (BTO), you'll contribute to shaping the company's strategic ambitions and driving innovation in support functions like Finance, HR, and IT services.

Your Responsibilities

As a Support Functions Architect, you'll work closely with our Enterprise Architecture team, IT architects, and domain leads to evolve and improve the support functions architecture standards and overall architecture landscape. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Establishing principles, governance, and guidance for maturing our support functions capability, focusing on standardization and modularization;
• Leading the support functions architecture board and supporting functions architecture guild;
• Monitoring the implementation of key support functions-related projects, such as ERP or ITSM implementation, and ensuring proper escalation and reporting to senior management stakeholders;
• Developing the target architecture and roadmap together with business stakeholders and outlining how these goals are realized;
• Setting expectations for quality, consistency, and delivery, ensuring that those standards are met and improved over time;
• Proactively identifying, analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating ideas, projects, and opportunities on support functions topics.

Your Profile and Background

We're looking for a candidate with 10+ years of experience in a similar function, preferably with business (TSO/Utilities/Infra asset) understanding. You should have strong experience in leadership roles, focusing on architectural solutions for strategic importance. Additionally, you should be capable of functionally guiding IT Architects in the support functions domain and have relevant certifications such as TOGAF and ArchiMate. Good communication and presentation skills in English are essential, and fluency in German and/or Dutch is an advantage.
