About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy reproducible data pipelines using cloud-native tools, ensuring infrastructure as code, automated tests, and reusability.
  • Collaborate with scientists, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate their needs into technical requirements, building meaningful, comprehensible, and practical data pipelines and visualizations.
  • Lead projects and contribute to others, promoting good practices and leading by example.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for technical and non-technical users, showcasing the data products developed.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a data engineer, with a strong background in data pipeline design and creation.
  • Experience with ETL jobs and orchestrators is desirable.
  • Solid experience in database design and querying languages, with knowledge of FAIR principles and GXP rules for data handling.
  • Strong Python skills, with experience in OOP, automated testing, and version control systems.
  • Good communication skills in English, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
