Job Summary

CheckMark Labrecruitment is seeking a highly skilled QESH Specialist to join our team in Rijswijk. As a QESH Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment within our innovative Biotech Science laboratories.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as an advisor, coach, and trainer for line managers in their daily activities as a leader and a role model for SHE and Q within the organization.
  • Coaching and training (new) laboratory employees regarding the application of QESH, including practical measures to be used in the experimental setup and the workplace (ergonomics checks) in labs and offices.
  • Building, maintaining, managing, and improving the QESH Management System.
  • Guiding and supporting compliance to new and existing Q and SHE legislations, requirements, and standards, including the execution of gap assessments.
  • Organizing and executing audits and management reviews.
  • Leading SHE Risk assessments in labs and offices, such as assessments on Job Safety, Health Risks, Machine Safety.
  • Leading and reporting Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) to determine the causes leading to QESH incidents and to gather effective solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A HBO or MSc degree in the field of Life Science or Biotechnology.
  • Strong experience working within a R&D and/or Laboratory environment.
  • Relevant QESH, Quality Management, and/or SHE experience in an industrial laboratory organization.
  • A degree in Safety Engineering (HVK, MVK) is considered a plus.
  • Being skilled in the application of dedicated software and digital tools is a prerequisite.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
  • A flexible, result-oriented mindset, and a can-do mentality.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a day shift schedule. The contract is for 12 months.

The salary indication is from €4500,- to €6300,- gross per month, based on a full-time position.
