Overview of the Position
As the Head of Learning and Development for Legal Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance (LRC) Academy.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the Legal & Compliance Learning & Knowledge Management initiative. Your primary focus will be to craft the strategic direction for the LRC Academy, ensuring that business requirements are seamlessly integrated into effective and relevant roadmaps and solutions in conjunction with the associated colleges of the LRC Academy.
You will establish, manage, and lead the potential LRC Academy and the Knowledge Management resources within Legal & Compliance, primarily consisting of a virtual team that includes one direct report along with a blend of internal and external contributors. Your leadership will ensure that this virtual team operates at a high level of performance, remains motivated, and is equipped to fulfill their responsibilities in alignment with established objectives.
You will be tasked with developing and presenting annual business plans that align with both the business strategy and the ASML Global L&KM strategy, while continuously building a network of relevant stakeholders and managing their expectations. Collaborating closely with other Academy Leads and the ASML Knowledge Management team, you will ensure cohesive alignment and cooperation across the Academies and within the ASML Knowledge Management framework.
A critical aspect of your role will involve implementing processes and tools that are organized at the ASML Academy and Knowledge Management level. If necessary, you will propose, initiate, and develop processes, organizational structures, and tools, ensuring ongoing enhancements in policies, processes, structures, products, or services while maintaining quality standards.
In summary, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and performance of the LRC Academy, addressing all agreed business needs through the creation of structures, processes, content, and tools, facilitated by a team of Learning & Knowledge Management professionals.
- Enhancing the ASML Global L&KM performance by fostering continuous improvement, collaboration, and joint development with colleagues in the L&KM organization.
- Steering the Knowledge Management program within the Legal & Compliance department, in alignment with the ASML L&KM professional team.
The Learning and Development Lead will be integrated into the Legal & Compliance Operations and Strategy Execution Team, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff of this team.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this position, it is essential to possess strong networking abilities, a collaborative spirit, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You should be adept at building robust relationships, connecting individuals, and earning trust at various organizational levels, with the capability to lead and drive initiatives in scenarios where authority is not explicitly granted.
Ideally, you will bring the following competencies and skills:
- Over 10 years of experience in Learning Management.
- A strong business orientation coupled with adaptability.
- Exceptional analytical skills and operational drive; a creative mindset with an international perspective.
- Independence and the ability to organize and prioritize your workload effectively.
- A focus on quality and risk management.
- Familiarity with Legal & Compliance matters is advantageous.
About the Legal & Compliance Division
The Legal & Compliance division is responsible for defining and executing the company strategy to mitigate risks while maximizing legal and commercial opportunities. We ensure adherence to all legal and compliance requirements, including securities regulations, insider trading, antitrust laws, labor laws, anti-bribery and anti-corruption measures, privacy regulations, and export controls. Our legal support is vital in guiding the organization away from non-compliance, disputes, or negative publicity that could harm ASML's reputation.
