BESS Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled BESS Engineer to join our Innovation team at DNV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the entire life cycle of algorithms designed to support our customers in monitoring and managing their renewable energy assets.

• Ensure that DNV's battery storage technology expertise flows into algorithms and eventually into software offerings.
• Transform designed algorithms into Python code.
• Maintain close technical collaboration with the GPM software teams to integrate algorithms into products.
• Participate in innovating and enhancing GPM offerings by building relationships with customers to discover market requirements and goals.
• Take part in internal and external feedback sessions to ensure battery storage specific algorithms are scalable and easy for broad implementation.

You will be part of the Innovation team, a young and agile team that leverages the potential of advanced data analytics and drives customer discoveries to pinpoint critical issues that require out-of-the-box solutions.

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or another relevant field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience with operational complexity of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), acquired within the renewable energy or automotive (EV) industries.
• Domain Knowledge: Demonstrable domain knowledge of battery storage operation and maintenance practices and technology.
• Python Coding Skills: Full professional proficiency in Python coding.
• Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in written and oral English.
