The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipbuilding Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing shipbuilding projects, working closely with our engineering team and subcontractors. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from basic to detail engineering, and develop your skills and expertise in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop shipbuilding projects, including structural design and integration of steel outfitting and structures
- Work with our engineering team and subcontractors to ensure project delivery and quality
- Perform feasibility and risk analyses on initial designs
- Produce order lists and technical specifications for purchase orders
- Support client, Class, and national authorities' approval processes
- Coordinate outsourced work to subcontractors
- Bachelor's degree in Shipbuilding or Maritime Engineering
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Interest in innovation and open-mindedness to new technologies
- Experience with software packages like AutoCAD, Rhino, and Nupas-Cadmatic
- Ability to work in a team, plan and organize, and learn new skills
- Excellent command of Dutch and English languages
- Availability of 32-40 hours per week
