Shipbuilding Engineer

The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Shipbuilding Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the Basic Engineering package, including Class and Client approvals, managing Detail Engineering partners, and providing production support. You will work on various projects, developing your expertise and contributing to the growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop shipbuilding projects, including specifications, detail drawings, and work plans;
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements;
- Manage and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery;
- Perform feasibility and risk analyses on initial designs;
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and order lists for purchase orders;
- Support client, Class, and national authorities' approval processes;
- Coordinate outsourced work to subcontractors;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Shipbuilding or Maritime Engineering;1-2 years of relevant work experience;Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;An interest in innovation and an open mindset to new technologies;Experience with software packages like AutoCAD, Rhino, and Nupas-Cadmatic;Ability to work in a team, plan and organize tasks, and learn new skills;Excellent command of the Dutch and English language;Availability of 32-40 hours per week;What We OfferAt Damen Shipyards, we invest in our employees' development and offer a dynamic international working environment, a competitive salary, at least 40 days of annual leave, profit sharing, and a pension allowance.
