About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Development Team Lead to oversee the execution of development and integration activities within our NGP Digital team at Imperial Brands PLC.

As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of digital products and services from design to deployment. Your expertise in cloud-first environments, particularly in Azure, will be instrumental in ensuring our digital solutions meet business requirements, are delivered on time, within budget, and comply with all development standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching and technical expertise in the development of digital assets, ensuring alignment with our company's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the build and overall implementation of digital services, ensuring compliance and meeting business needs.
  • Deliver effective updates and manage risks to oversee the progress of projects, ensuring timely and budget-aligned digital solution delivery.
  • Offer technical leadership to developers, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring the successful execution of the product backlog.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align and coordinate efforts, upholding best practices and governance standards.
  • Responsible for the technical execution of the product backlog and governance standards, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.

Requirements

  • Previous or current team leader experience in a similar role, preferably in a cloud-first environment.
  • Vast experience in back-end systems, systems development, application analysis, and design, particularly in a cloud-first environment. With robust knowledge of.NET and advanced understanding of asynchronous programming.
  • Expertise in Azure cloud platform and familiarity with CI/CD best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex topics for technical teams.
  • Significant experience in technology architecture with a track record of designing robust data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of security practices and data protection.
