Phytopathology Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Research & Development team in De Lier, Netherlands. As a Phytopathology Researcher, you will be part of a dynamic team of researchers working on the development of detached leaf assay protocols for Powdery Mildew in one of our crops.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct literature reviews on detach leaf assay methods for powdery mildew;
- Develop methods to inoculate powdery mildew in detach leaf assays;
- Design and execute experiments for pathogenicity tests in detach leaf assays and full-grown plants;
- Perform image analysis and data visualization;
- Write detailed reports summarizing experiments and results.
- Pursuing a MSc in plant sciences or a relevant field;
- Experience with laboratory techniques, working with pathogens, and image analysis;
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proactive attitude;
- Ability to work independently and organized;
- Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language.
