Position Overview

Role Responsibilities
In this position, your primary focus will be on executing network planning to guarantee timely and economical transportation solutions for our interregional logistics across Europe.

To achieve these goals, you will require a thorough understanding of daily tray-type inventories, aligning with weekly forecast expectations, and a solid grasp of transport and depot agreements. Establishing robust communication channels will be essential as you connect offices, depots, and transport providers to promote collaboration.

Developing and implementing operational strategies based on forecasts and inventory levels will be critical for ensuring on-time deliveries. You will also play a key role in promoting cost-effective and sustainable transportation methods, such as intermodal solutions and biofuels, acting as the primary liaison for stakeholders across various regions and ensuring clear communication.

As an active participant in transport capacity acquisition, you will stay informed about market rates, monitor trends, and provide insights into cost-saving alternatives. This may involve identifying new routes and agreements to enhance our transport network.

Key Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must effectively manage multiple stakeholders and navigate real-time data across various departments and regions. You should possess a proven track record in stakeholder management, taking ownership and accountability for planning processes. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of transport and logistics, and the ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt as needed.

Further Requirements:
A higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor) level of work and thinking, preferably in Logistics.A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field (international freight forwarding or addressing supply and demand challenges across regions).Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and SAP.Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in an additional language is advantageous (preferably Dutch, German, Spanish, or French).
