About the Role

NIBC is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Portfolio Management team in Retail Banking as a Portfolio Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping strategic initiatives, participating in cross-functional project teams, and fostering the growth and development of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of our mortgage and savings portfolios, driving the growth and development of our business in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize portfolio performance, leveraging your analytical skills and expertise in data modeling and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Banking Management Team and Executive Board Members to drive strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement new initiatives, working closely with the executive board to drive impact and growth.
  • Improve our models and reporting, focusing on automation and improved presentation of figures.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, enhancing their skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in a subset of the following fields: Basel Framework, hedging, pricing, liquidity risk, behavioural modelling, prepayment risk, valuation of mortgage loans, structuring and reporting.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
  • Excellent analytical skills and expertise in data modeling and forecasting.
  • A flexible team player with the ability to manage ad hoc requests and tight deadlines.
  • A commercial mindset and a go-getter attitude.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
