Financial Administration Manager

As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading our financial administration department to achieve accurate and timely financial reporting. You will oversee a team of 4 Team Leaders and indirectly manage 15 team members. Your primary objective will be to ensure the financial administration department operates efficiently and effectively, with a strong focus on internal controls and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage and improve financial processes and procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the division of duties between cash and banking, stock accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as within our SAP financial accounting system.
  • Initiate and lead projects to improve financial administration and reporting, including process improvements, people development, and IT enhancements.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Monitor and improve liquidity forecasting, insurance portfolio management, and cash receipt and payment processes.
  • Manage bank accounts and banking facilities, ensuring timely payments to lessors and suppliers, and accurate VAT and indirect tax compliance.
  • Support procurement and cost savings initiatives, including detailed analysis of accounts payable spend.
  • Recruit, manage, coach, motivate, and assess Team Leaders, ensuring they are equipped to lead their teams effectively.
  • Monitor team performance, adherence to our internal Code of Conduct, and cooperation between teams.
  • Position the financial administration department within the organization, collaborating with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management role, with a proven track record of managing large teams in financial administration.
  • Minimal Bachelor's degree (HBO) with a focus related to the core of the job.
  • Preferably qualified accountant with audit manager experience.
  • Result-oriented, analytical, and detail-focused, with excellent communication and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Fluent in English, with a strong command of written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of German is a plus, as is retail experience and familiarity with SAP and IT systems.
