Payroll Operations Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Operations Expert to join our HR Operations team in Amsterdam.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in processing and controlling global payroll, with specific expertise in Dutch (and French preferred) local laws, regulations, and taxes. This role requires high proficiency in Excel, experience with Workday HRIS, and a strong ability to collaborate with HR and finance teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Global Payroll Management: Oversee payroll across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely payments, compliance with local regulations, and coordination with local providers.
- Accruals and Finance Support: Assist with holiday accruals and payouts, General Ledger reconciliation, and WKR calculations.
- Salary Review and Bonuses: Support annual salary reviews and performance evaluations, collaborating with HR and Reward teams.
- Reporting and Audit: Provide ad-hoc reporting, support HRIS reporting consolidation, and assist with payroll audits and follow-up actions.
- Transformation Projects: Participate in HR transformation projects, support payroll provider integration, and assist with related projects.
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years in payroll processing, with expertise in global and Dutch payroll laws; French language skills preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas); experience with Workday HRIS required.
- Data Analysis: Skilled in manipulating and analyzing data.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Additional Skills: Fluency in English; familiarity with other payroll software and HRIS systems; HR analytics experience is advantageous.
