Subcontract Administrator

As a Subcontract Administrator at Nouvall Engineering Services B.V., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth administration of construction contracts for our clients in the petrochemical and maritime industry. Your expertise will be essential in managing subcontractors, reviewing progress payment certificates, and resolving disputes. If you have a strong background in subcontracts and administration, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a multi-cultural team, we encourage you to apply for this challenging role.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in kick-off meetings to inform subcontractors about administration procedures
• Review and approve progress payment certificates, obtain authorizations, and issue authorization to invoice letters
• Review and negotiate additional compensation requests, issue Request for Work Execution (RWE), and verify final cost proposals
• Organize weekly subcontracting meetings, issue meeting notes, and update the Subcontract Administration Report
• Ensure extra works, claims, back charges, and close-out of contracts are performed in accordance with the Project Subcontract Administration Procedure
• Monitor official correspondence, draft letters, and follow up on expiring insurances and bank guarantees
• Ensure all contract, unit rate accounting, and RWE documents are properly filed and auditable
Requirements
• Hold an Engineer or technical degree with minimum 5 years of experience in subcontracts and administration
• Have very good level of written and spoken English, Dutch is a plus
• Have good experience in MS Office programs with complex Excel files
• Have very good communication and leadership skills
• Be used to work in an integrated team on complex projects
• Be able to supervise one or more Subcontracts Specialists
• Be eligible to work in Belgium
• Be available to work at construction sites
