Position Overview
The Quality Manager for Mechatronics Development plays a pivotal role in defining and aligning the quality strategy within the department. As a key member of the management team, this position is responsible for:
- Establishing and executing the department's quality strategy.
- Leading and reporting on process enhancement initiatives at both departmental and sector levels.
- Participating in project teams to analyze process deficiencies, identify enhancements, and support implementation efforts.
- Providing valuable input into the cluster and sector Quality roadmap.
- Communicating quality status and fostering transparency across departmental levels.
- Coaching project teams and engineers on the quality of proposed technical solutions and deliverables.
- Maintaining and deploying departmental processes to enable staff accountability in quality control.
- Facilitating feedback loops and lessons learned across various departmental groups.
- Managing technical competencies within the department and leading regular meetings with competence leaders.
Educational Requirements
A Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, accompanied by relevant experience in (technical) Quality Management.
Professional Experience
- Over 8 years of experience in technically-driven international organizations, preferably in a development context.
- Proven experience as a quality manager.
- Familiarity with quality methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma, value stream analysis, 5 Whys, Kaizen, brainstorming techniques, problem-solving methods, FMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa diagrams.
- Knowledge of international quality standards (ISO 9001/14001/TS 16949), including process assessments and audits.

The mission of the Quality Cluster is to enhance technology development by ensuring robust Quality Control, minimizing risks, and driving improvements while providing insights into Development & Engineering processes. With the increasing demand for rapid delivery of cutting-edge technology, maintaining high quality and reliability presents ongoing challenges. Therefore, our processes must evolve to become more effective and efficient. This is achieved through proactive monitoring, ensuring product quality, securing process adherence, and implementing lessons learned to continuously enhance our operations.
