About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead System Architect to join our innovation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and management of various GNSS-related software development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect business requirements by interacting with customers and sales teams, and translate these requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with business product owners and technical project managers.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain the overall architecture of a global system that includes software running on different servers at various locations around the globe, as well as client software for precise localization of marine, land, and space objects.
  • Coordinate the development between different stakeholders, including R&D, business development, and marketing and sales teams.
  • Contribute to the definition and design of new products.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in technical sciences, with a PhD considered a plus.
  • Deep technical knowledge of GNSS and PPP.
  • 15+ years of industrial experience in system/software development, with 3+ years in a position as Principal System Engineer or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and proven ability to collaborate across functions and organisational levels.
  • The ability to learn quickly and grasp sophisticated software systems and research-heavy technology.
  • Working knowledge of different development methodologies, such as Agile and V-model.
  • Experience in working in QA/QM environments, ideally automotive or civil aviation, is a strong plus.
  • Experience in working with remote teams is a plus.
