About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director Business Development to lead the development of our large capital project, hydrogen storage in Etzel, Germany. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the acceleration of the energy transition and play a key role in shaping the future of the hydrogen economy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and structure the project, ensuring optimal cooperation between internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead a multidisciplinary project team, growing towards ~20 FTE, to bring the project to the Final Investment Decision (FID)
  • Ensure the successful execution of the project, managing technical, economic, commercial, operational, and political challenges
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience as the final responsible person for developing large capital projects (> 500 million) in the energy sector or a related sector
  • Demonstrable and recent experience with project management in a business development environment; experience with project development in Germany is a plus
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and economic analyses and translate them into a plan to robustly come to a solution
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in directing, motivating, and adjusting large multidisciplinary teams (>20 FTE) in a matrix structure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
