Geotechnical Software Support Engineer

About the Role
Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Software Support Engineer to join our Software Specialist team in Nootdorp. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in testing and supporting our Geotechnical software product, iscovery, which consists of 16 LOB apps and its own cloud service.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of our Geotechnical software products and their applications in the field.
- Run tests during development and prior to release to ensure robust and reliable products.
- Develop test cases and scenarios that reflect the use of the software in the field.
- Work closely with software and firmware developers and act as an interface to the user.
- Identify and propose improvements to our products to increase their stability and efficiency.
- Provide support to users through a dedicated servicedesk by troubleshooting reported issues and providing advice on the use of our products.
- Contribute to the knowledge base by writing documentation.
Your Qualifications
- BSc degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Relevant field experience on Geotechnical projects, land or marine, and/or processing of Geotechnical data.
- Thorough understanding of measurement principles and calibration procedures.
- Affinity with IT, data acquisition, and testing of software.
- Ability to analyze software-related problems down to the root.
- Good communication skills and a service-minded approach.
