The Manager of Forecast position at Sensata Technologies entails managing a team of employees to take preventative measures, and create estimations regarding the potential future of the company's finances based on research and data findings.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position.
- Utilize historical data and work with all levels of the business to understand needs to accurately forecast future financial position.
- Develops, updates, and manages financial forecasting models and regularly and effectively communicates changes, recommendations and issues to senior management as necessary.
- Develops and maintains various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and ad hoc reports for management review and use, and assists with various reconciliations as needed.
- Maintains detailed records of forecast outputs and inputs, processes, quantitative or qualitative models, meetings, approvals, or other items, as needed, for compliance or governance.
- Recruits, trains, develops, coaches, and manages team to ensure priorities and deliverables are met.
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
- Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
- Power BI experience is desirable.
- B2B (vehicle industry and/or industrial manufacturing) experience would be a plus.
- Strong business acumen.
- Experience working with ERP and Reporting tools such as Oracle.
- Previous management experience is required.
- Cross-cultural and global management experience is highly desirable.
- Proven success supporting business unit leadership utilizing strong analytical forecasting skills.
- Support efforts around quarterly Board of Directors Meetings and Company's Earnings Release providing market and revenue performance analytics is expected.
