Key Responsibilities
In the role of Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, developing, validating, managing, and sustaining various electrical concepts and products for both new and existing ASML offerings. Additionally, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of these products in close collaboration with the architectural team.
The focus of this position will be on components such as cables, racks, cabinets, passive interconnections, and PCBA, translating these into detailed schematics. Your projects will primarily concentrate on racks and modules for applications involving optical sensors and light sources.
The Electrical Design Engineer will undertake the following tasks:
Collaborate with electrical architects and designers to clarify design requirements for your project and related projects. Define, document, and uphold designs of electrical modules and infrastructure to ensure quality (safety, EMC, serviceability, manufacturability) and adherence to international standards. Create and maintain technical drawings and schematics for electrical modules and infrastructure, including functional overviews, high-level block diagrams, detailed wiring diagrams, and cable summaries. Conduct work breakdown and effort estimation for design tasks. Test and validate the electrical modules under your purview. Provide technical insights to manufacturers of electrical modules and infrastructure by engaging with supplier quality engineers and manufacturers. Ensure quality by qualifying first article electrical modules and infrastructure at the module level prior to integration. Share knowledge with production and service engineers. Assist in analyzing and resolving reliability issues. Enhance design quality by soliciting feedback from stakeholders on developed products. Support the electrical architect by supplying detailed compliance information regarding the design to obtain third-party compliance certification.Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in:
Electrical design of electronic modules. Design of cables, racks, cabinets, and PCBA (passive/interconnections). Laboratory experience in testing and/or integrating electronic/electrical modules.Additional experience in the following areas will be considered advantageous:
Design of active (digital, analog, or mixed signal) PCBAs. Electro-mechanical design using 3D CAD tools. Familiarity with compliance to international electrical standards (NFPA, SEMI). Experience in multidisciplinary design teams to reach consensus on specifications. Knowledge of SAFe - Agile methodologies.Personal Attributes

The Development & Engineering (D&E) sector at ASML is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of products within the ASML portfolio. Within D&E, the Electronic Development (EL) department focuses on defining, realizing, qualifying, and integrating electronic functions and modules within these products.
