We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team in the Sensors department of the Development & Engineering sector. As a physics or engineering student, you will have the opportunity to work on a challenging project that involves optical simulation and sensor performance analysis.
Background InformationOur company, ASML, is a global leader in the development of lithography machines that produce integrated circuits. Our machines use DUV or EUV light to print the chip design into a photoresistant layer, which is only a few 10s of nanometers thick. To improve the performance of our machines, we need to develop sensors that can measure the height of the wafer with high accuracy.
Your AssignmentAs an intern, you will be responsible for exploring different concepts to enable the measurement of the wafer height with around 1 nm error at ever increasing speed. Your tasks will include:
- Optimizing the Level Sensor properties
- Simulation and modeling of the sensor performance
- Determining the wafer height map with 1nm accuracy
To be a perfect match for this internship, you should have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Maths or Engineering
- Results-oriented and pragmatic attitude
- Experience with programming and data analysis using MATLAB and Zemax
- Affinity with optics and physics
- Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
