Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our EMENA Legal team. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive support to our legal counsels and business units, focusing primarily on contract management and drafting. The position involves a variety of responsibilities that require dedication, initiative, and a proactive approach.

This role is based at our European Headquarters, with opportunities for flexible remote work arrangements. The position reports directly to the Senior Legal Counsel, EMENA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the contract administration process, including the intake of requests and inquiries, prioritizing requests to ensure effective resource allocation, and assisting in gathering necessary information for contract processing.
  • Comprehend the commercial context of transactions, review and amend initial and subsequent contract drafts in collaboration with Legal Counsels, and at times, independently.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various types of agreements, including confidentiality agreements, procurement agreements, rebate agreements, general sales and purchase conditions, development agreements, and their amendments.
  • Manage the third-party screening process for suppliers and customers.
  • Deliver contract-related training to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administer litigation processes, including preparing litigation and accrual reports, and potentially assisting in evidence gathering for claims and defenses while maintaining accurate matter files.
  • Support the quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as a backup for department paralegals in managing corporate entities and all business units.
  • Engage actively in departmental effectiveness and efficiency initiatives, including process streamlining, template creation, and training.

Qualifications:

  • A higher education degree in Law or a related field, or equivalent experience in managing and drafting commercial contracts.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven success in a similar role within a customer service-oriented environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and skills related to drafting and understanding the legal implications of commercial contract provisions and transactions.
  • Familiarity with legal entity management is advantageous but not mandatory if willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of litigation support and management is a plus but not required if committed to learning.
  • A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and high standards in all work outputs are essential.
  • An independent, curious, and adaptable thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A demonstrated enthusiasm for learning, with the ability to quickly grasp new areas.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • A commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethics, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills, including expertise in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel, with the ability to produce polished and professional documents.
  • Fluency in English for legal documents is required; additional language skills are highly desirable.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and action-oriented mindset.
