About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our Analytical Development team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for representing the AD team in projects, making decisions on timeline, execution, and strategy of AD-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and complete sample testing activities within timelines, ensuring high-quality results and efficient project delivery.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments within the R&D matrix organization, working closely with senior scientists to perform method assessment and establishment activities.
  • Develop scientific strategies to characterize product quality, safety, and efficacy, presenting recommendations to drive decision-making and ensure high-quality products.
  • Liaise with internal scientific, analytical, and laboratory functional areas, performing all duties in compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with peers and perform laboratory activities for development, validation, and transfers, contributing to the success of our pharmaceutical development projects.
Requirements
  • Equivalent experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related physical science will be considered, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in development, with a strong passion for scientific methodology and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in various analytical techniques, including (U)HPLC, and knowledge of analytical method development and validation.
  • Ability to lead and contribute to projects with medium complexity, with strong goal-setting, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team and embracing challenges in product development, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
