Transformative Data Analytics Role

We are JTI, a global leader in the tobacco industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Manager to join our Internal Audit team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the use of data analytics across the organization, identifying areas for improvement, and developing innovative solutions to mitigate strategic and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data analytics strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Audit function.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address areas for improvement, leveraging data analytics to drive business value.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics, including process mining, AI, and ML, and assess their suitability for adoption in Internal Audit.
  • Train and support users to effectively use analytics solutions, including Power BI and MS SQL, for data analysis during Internal Audit assignments.
  • Identify and obtain relevant data from various sources to support process and controls analysis during Internal Audit assignments.
  • Develop and maintain data analytics solutions, including MS Azure and MS SQL, to support the Internal Audit Department's needs.
  • Ensure the implemented solutions are working accurately and consistently.
  • Continuously develop and refine standardized analytics for use on relevant audits.
  • Integrate data analytics into Internal Audit working programs and planning.
Requirements:
  • A relevant university degree in Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, IT, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a relevant role with a strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of data analytics.
  • A genuine interest in the application of data analytics to improve business performance and add value to the business.
  • Experience with ETL and analytics tools, as well as data visualization tools.
  • Understanding and exposure to programming languages, including SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • General understanding of business processes, corporate governance, audit principles, and standards.
