The Digital Solution Lead for Construction plays a crucial role in defining digital solution requirements and managing the complete life cycle of digital solutions from ideation to development, evolution, and decommissioning.

This role involves collecting business needs, defining use cases, and managing initiatives and projects for the selection, development, and deployment of digital solutions using the Stage Gate Model process. Once deployed, the Digital Solution Lead monitors usage and value creation, planning for future evolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key business and technology stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with software providers and external partners.
  • Contribute to contract management with third-party software suppliers.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements for digital solution configuration and development.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to build the business case for digital solution development, implementation, and lifecycle.
  • Manage the Ideate and Validate phases of the Stage Gate Model process, as well as Change Management.
  • Work with IT Project Managers to manage the Develop and Deploy phases of the Stage Gate Model process.
  • Implement and manage the lifecycle management process of digital solutions, including change management and versioning/upgrading.
  • Monitor KPIs and enforce quality and performance of digital solutions and third-party providers based on agreed SLAs.
  • Audit and report on governance/assurance performance and application of internal/external controls.
  • Consolidate value creation with input from the business.
  • Act as the 'keeper of the vision' for the product, conveying the vision during development and lifecycle.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other Digital Solution Leads to achieve an optimized digital solution landscape.

Requirements:

  • Strong business background to understand business needs – minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Construction and Commissioning scope.
  • Functional knowledge of digital solutions and IT software development.
  • Comfortable with negotiation and commercial setup.
  • Passionate about technology and digital.
  • Knowledge of Scrum Agile methodologies is a plus.
