Job Title: Structural Hull Discipline Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Hull Discipline Lead to join our team at SBM Offshore. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the Structural Hull team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality structural design services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Structural Hull team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines and budget.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Oversee the structural design process, including design calculations, 3D modeling, and construction drawings.
  • Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and classification society rules.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, representing the Structural Hull discipline.
Requirements:
  • MSc or BSc degree in Offshore Structures/Naval Architecture or equivalent.
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in floating structural design, including 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the floating structure design process, from conceptual to construction phases.
  • Extensive experience and technical expertise in structural analysis of global and local hull structures.
  • Familiarity with classification society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyds).
  • Experience in engineering and design of floating units in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines, such as mooring structure integrations, topside integrations, and other equipment integrations.
