About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Discipline Manager to lead our Structural Hull team at SBM Offshore. As a key member of our Product Design Department, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the team's skill sets, allocating resources to ensure engineering project tasks are completed within budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the team's skill sets to ensure engineering project tasks are completed within budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure efficiency of work by continuous improvement of tools and engineering processes.
  • Manage interfaces with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Develop and manage the network with engineering subcontracting companies.
  • Promote the development of knowledge and expertise within SBM and stay abreast of the latest developments in technology.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a University or Technical College education (MSc or BSc degree) and at least 10 years of experience in Structural Hull design in the offshore Oil & Gas industry. You should have strong leadership skills in managing a team that may be working both locally in the office and remotely from site. You should be communicative, stress-resistant, organization-sensitive, and decisive. You should be willing to travel when necessary.
