About the Role

Serco is seeking a skilled Documentalist to join our team at the esteemed ESA-ESTEC site in the Netherlands. As a Documentalist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the integrity of documents, ensuring their effective registration, distribution, and archiving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly review the status of documents in various archives and update the DMS database accordingly.
  • Manage document registration, distribution, and archiving, as well as provide reproduction services.
  • Process controlled document changes and official papers relevant to the unit's activities.
  • Support users in retrieving documents from local DMS, external partners, and industry, as well as out-of-paper archives and other sources.
  • Provide paper copies of electronic documents on request and create electronic versions of documents.
  • Manage original files and provide related support to project reviews.
  • Contribute to enhancements of document management concepts and future improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Communications from a recognized institution.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of formal communication and ability to analyze complex issues within institutional environments.
  • Experience in documentation management and communication.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a high degree of autonomy and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with knowledge of another EU member state language an asset.
  • Eligibility to work in the EU.
