Are you prepared for a new opportunity? The Revenue Recognition team is in search of a skilled and seasoned professional in revenue recognition.

The Senior Revenue Recognition Analyst will report directly to the Director of Accounting within the Revenue Recognition Department. This role involves providing guidance to territory managers during sales processes to ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing substantial software contracts and documenting key terms. You will need to gather relevant information, resolve issues, listen to client needs, and conduct detailed analyses of various transaction aspects to determine the appropriate timing and amount of revenue recognition. Additionally, accounting research related to revenue recognition may be required. For transactions within designated territories, you will prepare final revenue recognition conclusions and supporting documentation. Training various teams on software revenue recognition 'best practices' will also be part of your responsibilities. Occasional preparation and completion of other projects will be expected.

A Bachelor's degree is mandatory for this position. The ideal candidate should possess at least two years of experience in the following areas:

  • Identifying revenue recognition challenges in incoming transactions
  • Evaluating significant, non-standard contracts for adherence to ASC 606 and relevant guidelines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, as effective communication with the team and Director is essential
  • Capability to operate within the Netherlands time zone
  • Proficiency in engaging with a diverse professional environment
  • Ability to think critically and seek assistance when necessary
  • Capacity to perform under pressure and meet quarter-end deadlines
  • Preparation of Revenue Recognition documentation for new contracts
  • Collaboration with Sales and Best Practice Managers on contract matters to provide insights and support for negotiations ensuring proper revenue recognition
  • Educating Sales and Best Practices Managers on fundamental revenue accounting principles
  • Conducting revenue carve-outs based on Standalone Selling Price (SSP)
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenues and cost of goods sold
  • Assisting in quarter-end revenue audit activities
  • Proficient use of SFDC, Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot tables, MicroStrategy, and SharePoint
  • Confirming compliance with contract parameters and requirements
  • Analyzing results, formulating recommendations, and presenting findings to senior management
  • Assessing processing workflows and identifying potential improvement areas
