The Benelux business insights team is responsible for business analytics for the Dutch and Belgian businesses Marktplaats and 2dehands/2ememain. As a Business and Strategy Analyst, you engage with senior leadership and work across teams with financial analysts, business and product developers, product managers and marketeers to drive strategy and business planning. Based on data analysis, you deliver insights to your partners.

You are an enthusiastic professional able to crunch the numbers and critically think through strategic issues, advanced modeling parts and take product solutions to the next phase. You have strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with delivering complex finding with the management team, and discuss possible product improvements with developers or marketing strategies with marketeers.

What you'll do

Analyze data to get insights on trends, anomalies and opportunities and guide business decisionsGather market insights and translate them into impactful initiatives for our business teamsSet-up, automate, maintain, and own dashboards and reporting structure for operational metrics and revenue streams of your focus areaUse advanced modeling to gain understanding of the drivers of customer behaviorClosely work together with the business teams and finance teams to define the key operational and financial metricsConstruct and deliver clear, concise presentations of findings, product and user performance metrics and management recommendations both in oral and written formWho you areAcademic degree in a quantitative field like mathematics, econometrics, statistics or similarStrong analytical, reporting and visualization skillsAdvanced SQL and Excel skillsExperience with R, Python or similar are an advantageExperience working with large, multisource data sets and usage of analytics to drive business and product decisions and strategyAble to successfully work and partner across multiple functions in an organizationThe skill to explain complicated analyses in a simple way to colleagues and managementExperienced with e-commerce and payments is an advantageAbile to work in an Agile and flexible environment where change is constantThe attitude to go that extra mile when needed and celebrate success after achievements
