We are assisting our client, a prominent Dutch company, in their search for an experienced Managing Director to lead the expansion of their sales subsidiary.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for the independent management and further growth of the organization, including defining strategic goals to maintain and drive forward the company's successful development in the Netherlands.
  • You will oversee all obligations and tasks of the company, representing the business both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the electrical industry or sanitary and heating technology sector, with experience in managing design-oriented products or items with smart technologies.

A strong track record in project sales, pre-sales activities, and the three-tier distribution model is essential. You will also possess modern market management methods and be characterized by an analytical, goal-oriented, and values-based working style.

A high level of assertiveness, personal commitment, and reliability are required, along with natural leadership skills, social competence, and teamwork abilities. Fluency in Dutch is mandatory, and excellent English language skills are expected. Knowledge of German is appreciated but not necessary.

Responsibilities
  1. Revenue and result-oriented management of the Dutch organization.
  2. Defining and ensuring sales targets, strategies, and concepts.
  3. Developing measures to achieve these goals and continuously monitoring progress.
  4. Leading negotiations with specialist wholesalers and setting conditions for them.
  5. Driving and expanding project sales and effective pre-sales activities.
  6. Further developing and managing the existing product and system portfolio.
  7. Designing innovative concepts and strategies to establish and expand strong customer relationships.
  8. Leading the field sales team and acting as the interface between the sales subsidiary, headquarters, and management in Germany.
  9. Attending trade fairs.

Your success will be measured by revenue, EBIT, market share, and fostering a positive company culture where employees enjoy their work.
