About the Role

We are seeking a Marine Geophysicist to join our Client Deliverables Department in Nootdorp (The Netherlands).

As a Marine Geophysicist, you will be responsible for the processing, interpretation, and reporting of geophysical data acquired during our offshore survey campaigns.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring high-quality processing and interpretation of geophysical data in accordance with Fugro best practices.
  • Writing technical reports and completing set tasks reliably and cooperatively.
  • Monitoring data quality during offshore acquisition, identifying risks, and informing the project team accordingly.
  • Investigating and proposing recommendations for improvements for data collection and data processing.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders regarding data processing aspects and progress of projects.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Geophysics or Geology or related subject.
  • Familiarity with company-specific acquisition, processing, and reporting software (e.g., SonarWiz, Oasis Montaj, IHS Kingdom) and ability to adapt quickly to new packages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communicate effectively with the many nationalities within the team, and excellent knowledge of the English language (verbal and written).
  • Previous knowledge on offshore surveys is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Analytical, accurate, flexible attitude, and ability to maintain appropriate quality standards.
  • Excellent language skills in English (both oral and written).
