About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Account Manager to join our team at ASML's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth and improve supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Vision and Planning
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and improve supplier relationships.
    • Collaborate with category managers to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Manage day-to-day contact with strategic suppliers and track all communication for full transparency.
    • Negotiate contracts and represent Sourcing in complex internal projects.
  • Performance Management
    • Track and formalize supplier performance by executing Supplier Profile reviews.
    • Identify gaps and initiate improvement opportunities.
  • Decision Making and Escalation
    • Make formal decisions on supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate degree in physics, engineering, electronics, or another technical field.
  • Experience
    • Minimally 10 years' work experience in strategic procurement in a technology-intensive industry.
  • Personal Skills
    • Ability to identify and structure issues independently.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong vision of supplier landscape and technology roadmap.
    • Strong supplier relationship skills.
    • Ability to build a strong internal network.
    • Quick to understand a team's dynamic.
    • Ability to get buy-in and commitment from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Willingness to challenge management thinking on key purchasing issues.
    • Accurate and able to maintain overview.
