Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    Oversee the preparation and examination of financial statements, ensuring adherence to IFRS and local GAAP standards.
    Prepare consolidated financial reports for the EMEA region, delivering precise and timely insights to senior management.
    Monitor essential financial metrics, analyze discrepancies, and offer actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Financial Controlling:
    Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across the EMEA region, collaborating closely with regional managers and department heads.
    Ensure effective financial controls are established and maintained across all EMEA entities.
    Implement and supervise internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Guarantee compliance with all statutory financial reporting obligations and tax regulations throughout the EMEA region.
    Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
    Identify and manage financial risks, formulating strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the business.
  • Business Partnering:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights for informed decision-making.
    Act as a financial advisor to the EMEA management team, offering guidance on the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Process Improvement:
    Drive ongoing enhancements in financial processes and systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
    Lead initiatives to standardize and harmonize financial reporting and controlling practices across the EMEA region.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting, controlling, and analysis, preferably within a multinational organization in the logistics or related sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP requirements within the EMEA region.
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations across multiple countries.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and software; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in English; additional languages relevant to the EMEA region are a plus.
