Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    Supervise the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, ensuring adherence to IFRS and local GAAP.
    Compile consolidated financial reports for the EMEA region, delivering precise and timely insights to senior management.
    Track essential financial metrics, analyze discrepancies, and offer actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Financial Controlling:
    Direct the budgeting and forecasting process throughout the EMEA region, collaborating closely with regional managers and department heads.
    Guarantee effective financial controls are established and followed across all EMEA entities.
    Implement and oversee internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with all statutory financial reporting obligations and tax regulations across the EMEA region.
    Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
    Identify and manage financial risks, devising strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the business.
  • Business Partnering:
    Work with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights for decision-making.
    Act as a financial advisor to the EMEA management team, offering guidance on the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Process Improvement:
    Drive ongoing enhancements in financial processes and systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
    Lead initiatives to standardize and harmonize financial reporting and controlling practices across the EMEA region.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting, controlling, and analysis, preferably within a multinational company in the logistics or related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP requirements within the EMEA region.
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations across multiple countries.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and software; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in English; additional languages relevant to the EMEA region are a plus.
