Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're looking for a seasoned Product Manager to join our Industrial Business Unit. As a Global Product Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets.

The successful candidate will own the product strategies for a designated global portfolio of ~$200+M, managing all aspects of the assigned portfolio throughout its lifecycle, including strategy, revenue, profitability, portfolio decisions, roadmaps, and new product developments.

This leader will be responsible for revenue and gross margin of the portfolio and will play a crucial role in driving the strategy to scale the business substantially and accelerate growth over the next 5 years based on new product introduction, go-to-market expansion, and entry into adjacent applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic, growth- and margin-oriented mindset paired with excellent commercial acumen, experience working in a highly matrixed structure, and the ability to understand implications of key financial and quantitative factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops clear portfolio strategy for strong financial outcomes.
  • Drives breakthroughs via innovative approaches such as new market entries, product innovations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Cascades vision throughout the organization, aligning with near-term plans and metrics for organizational buy-in.
  • Communicates market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to guide decision-making.
  • Collaborates on product and technology roadmaps with engineering and sales teams to meet business and market needs.
  • Works closely with R&D and operations to develop products meeting current and future market demands.
Requirements
  • 15+ years experience of product management and strategy or business development.
  • 8+ years of team leadership in a Product Management Environment.
  • Proven track record in portfolio management with demonstrated success in portfolio optimization, product road-mapping, product gap identification, and product launch.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding financial performance including top-line and profit expansion, cost reduction, and margin improvement.
  • Global leader with a track record of developing and inspiring high performing teams across multiple regions.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed structure, at pace, and with high degrees of ambiguity.
  • Exposure and experience in the Industrial market is desired.
  • Strong financial acumen. Has the ability to understand implications of key financial and quantitative factors. Effectively draws conclusions from quantitative information.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • MBA or relevant P&L experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
  • English language required.
