PhD Researcher in Electrospun Porous Membrane Adsorbers for Water Purification

In today's world, where water scarcity and accessibility to safe drinking water are becoming increasingly important, membrane adsorption is an attractive method to address these challenges. Our research group at Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking a talented PhD researcher to contribute to the development of electrospun porous membrane adsorbers for water purification.
Research ProjectThe aim of this project is to design and prepare membrane adsorbers using a green platform. We will focus on the development of electrospun porous structures with specific functionalities that selectively adsorb and remove undesired components from water sources. The project will involve the use of nanofiber electrospinning, a fiber production method that uses an electrical voltage to generate fibers from a polymer solution.
Job Requirements- We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic researcher with a strong background in chemistry and chemical engineering.
- Candidates should have experience in synthetic chemistry, physical chemistry, and materials engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Excellent communication skills in English are a prerequisite.
- A naturally curious person who is eager to learn more and has a strong interest in research.
- Good team spirit and ability to work in an internationally oriented, social environment.
- Fulltime employment for four years, with an intermediate evaluation after nine months.
