Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Application Engineer Railway to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining best technical solutions for customers, leading the implementation to Start of Production (SOP), and supporting sales with cost-effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Input estimation of testing and homologation fees for project evaluation
- Involve in production process review and provide technical support in prototype production
- Define product development plan with team
- Prepare and release customer drawings, production drawings, Fabrication Instruction (FI), Testing plan, and other related instructions
- Work with customers to get drawing and test plan approval
- Take care of project management (milestones, team meetings, smooth handover to production)
- Organize project kick-off meeting
- Involvement and guidance of technical specification with customers
- Supply Koni differentiating value together with sales team
- Drive technical project progress from project start to BOM release based on project schedule
- Increase customer intimacy and understand and discuss needs for new products (with R&D)
- Lead Technical part of New Train Homologation process
- Inform and coordinate designated production plant in preparation for new product SOP
- Verify that all project deliverables (PPAP, Testing, drawing, FI) are in place before SOP
- Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience as an Application Engineer
- Knowledge of principles and design of Shock Absorbers (dampers) is preferred
- General mechanical/hydraulic design
- 3D Solidworks
- Good communication skills in English and willingness to take challenges
- Good skills of building customer relationships
- Project management skills
- Driveworks experience will be considered a plus
- Passionate pursuit of excellence with high accountability and human touch
