About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Technology Owner Fermentation to join our team at DSM. As a key member of our Global Technology group, you will be responsible for driving technology development and innovation in fermentation technology, with a focus on cleaning effectiveness and hygienic design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive technology development for all unit operations in fermentation technology, ensuring the implementation of best practices and standards.
  • Responsible for technology scouting, including pilot assessments, to ensure DSM is at the forefront of latest developments in the industry.
  • Ensure end-to-end leadership across Operations to evaluate business attractiveness and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Own and drive global technology standardization of unit operations and best practices, working closely with R&D technology and process development, Engineering, and Capital Procurement.
  • Provide URS for new line installations and actively participate in Capex projects.
  • Fuel continuous improvement of processes and technologies in the plants in terms of efficiency, yield, quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Lead respective technology know-how management across the organization and maintain relevant communities of practice.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or food engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including technology scale-ups.
  • Proven experience in technology development, scale-up, and large-scale implementation.
  • Experience in quality-by-design, R&D processes, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
