About this role:

This is a key opportunity to contribute to the Global Media team at Just Eat Takeaway, a team responsible for media strategy, planning, and execution across 12 European markets.

We are looking for a Senior Media Manager to lead media strategy and implementation across Austria and Belgium. This role involves understanding business challenges, consumer behavior, and devising effective media strategies for your markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for day-to-day planning and execution of media campaigns in your portfolio of countries.
  • Responsible for articulating media strategies and plans to wider teams in a clear and compelling way.
  • Owner of specific budget lines for your markets and accountable for media performance.
  • Work closely with Regional Marketing teams to understand local business challenges and opportunities, translating them into coherent agency briefs and strategies for your markets.
  • Main point of contact for the Media agency in your markets, leading and inspiring the team to deliver best-in-class media plans.
  • Involved in commercial negotiations with media vendors, alongside the Media agency.
  • Collaborate with the award-winning Brand team to ensure campaigns are underpinned by the right media mix to maximize impact.
  • Work closely with the Insights team to understand market trends and consumer behavior, predicting trends and campaign impact.
  • Partner with the in-house Digital team to deliver a holistic media strategy and plans for your markets.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest media trends and articulate key opportunities to the wider marketing community.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in media.
  • Ability to plan multimedia media campaigns end-to-end.
  • Proficient English speaking.
  • Track record of managing high-budget media campaigns, either as a brand-side or agency-side lead, involved in key steps of the media buying process (strategy, planning, buying, reporting).
  • Firm but friendly negotiator, with influencing skills to strike the right deals for the company.
  • Big-picture person, able to think strategically about how media can impact key business metrics.
  • Strong communicator, able to adapt style to the level of expertise of the audience.
  • Analytical mind, not afraid to get hands dirty, understanding media plan details and thoroughly assessing performance.
