Job Description

As a Credit Risk Specialist at De Nederlandsche Bank, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of the Dutch banking sector. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage credit risk, working closely with international colleagues from the European Central Bank (ECB) to supervise systemically important banks in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor credit risk by assessing risk reports and various other sources, identifying trends that could result in the emergence of new risks.
  • Participate in risk assessments, recommend risk mitigating actions, and monitor the bank's follow-up.
  • Design strategies and actions to reduce risks and strengthen identified weaknesses in the institution's risk management framework.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and verify the bank's compliance with regulation and supervisory expectations.
  • Identify new risks even before they materialise, by thinking ahead of the curve and outside of the box.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in a relevant area, with a preference for a quantitative background (e.g. economics, econometrics, finance etc.).
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in the field of credit risk and/or banking supervision. Profound knowledge of leveraged finance is a plus.
  • A knowledgeable sparring partner for your various stakeholders and at ease in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience in setting priorities and working under time pressure.
  • An excellent command of English and willingness to learn Dutch.
