About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our team at Albert Heijn. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our organization and driving innovation in software engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive technical excellence and innovation within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of software engineering processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Support the development of prototypes and conduct thorough testing to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
  • Expert proficiency in programming languages, with a strong focus on JavaScript, React, and Kotlin.
  • Extensive experience with microservices architecture, domain-driven design principles, and implementing complex integration solutions.
  • Deep understanding of software coding quality, secure coding practices, version control systems, and CI/CD tooling.
  • Proven experience in containerization, Kubernetes, and public cloud technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of API design, RESTful services, and event streaming within the context of modern software architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • An annual salary that can lead up to 122K, including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus.
